Katrina Kaif was born on 16 July 1984 in Hong Kong to a Kashmiri father, Mohammed Kaif, and a British mother, Suzzane Turquotte. Her mother, a Harvard graduate, was a lawyer but later became involved in charity work. Her parents separated when Kaif was very young. Kaif has seven siblings. She was raised in Hawaii and later moved to her mother’s home country, England.

Katrina Kaif has declared that she will tie the knot by 2012.
The actress said she wants to enjoy the two years that she has on her hand fully before she takes the Mrs. title. Katrina plans to finish the projects that she has on hand before walking down the aisle.

She will be next seen in Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan, Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar and Tarun Mansukhani’s Dostana

Katrina Kaif is so impressed with “Twilight” star Robert Pattinson that she can’t stop thinking about him. And if all goes well, she’ll be meeting him during her annual holiday with her family in London.

“You don’t understand. This is like an obsession for me. I can’t get Robert Pattinson out of my head…I’ve never felt this way about any man before,” Katrina, who has given hits like “Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani” and “De Dana Dan” this year, told IANS.

Incidentally, this is the second time Katrina has hurt herself on the sets of ‘De Dana Dan’. In December last year she had got an injury on her leg while shooting an important sequence. She had taken a few weeks off back then and had flown to London

Akki and Kat were shooting the said song for Priyadarshan’s film ‘De Dana Dan’ at a studio in Mumbai early this week. She was clad in a saree while he wore a kurta. In a romantic dance step, Katrina was supposed to bend over Akshay’s arm. But in her excitement the actress bent a little too hurriedly on Akki

“…as soon as I did that, I felt something give way (in the back). Now, I can hardly move around without experiencing pain,” Katrina is quoted by a Mumbai tabloid.
